Lojze Primožič, one of the best Slovenian ultrarunners was a 5th finisher at this year’s Spartathlon. He reached the feet of King Leonidas in an amazing time of 26:43:31. This was his third and of course the best appearance at one of the most demanding long distance races.
Slovenian running community was sending him positive energy through the night from September 27th to 28th as he has said afterwards:
Thanks to everybody for encouragement and congratulations. Your energy certainly helped me on the road to Sparta. I am so happy and proud. And humble. You can never know how will it all work out. It is really difficult to describe your feelings while you are running towards the statue of King Leonidas. It is all worth it.
Lojze, congratulation in the name of Ultrarunning Slovenia. We are proud and humbled to be your friends.
